A Letter From Kevin Regarding Covid-19

I wanted to reach out to you during this time surrounding COVID-19 and let you know about decisions we are making at KEVIN.MURPHY. At this time many of us may have been asked to close, self-isolate or at the very least may be experiencing a downturn in clients coming into the salon. And while we may not be able to physically touch people during this time, we can still create strong connections.

Starting immediately, we have mobilised, virtually, our global education team of MASTERS and DESIGN.DIRECTORS. We will start with launching KM.TV which is KEVIN.MURPHY Education Television. The DESIGN.DIRECTORS, the MASTERS team and I are taking free education online via social platforms and introducing webinars to our portfolio. This education is not in competition with our existing classes but will complement and enhance the education tools we already have on offer. Our hope is this medium will give you some creative inspiration at home or in the salon. These education online offerings will allow you to interact and meet the global team and will be on a range of topics from cutting to colour and styling.

I am briefing my team of MASTERS and DESIGN.DIRECTORS and asking them to connect and help our KEYS to upskill using video conferencing. The DESIGN.DIRECTORS have also filmed content for social media and KM.TV. They have taken the inspiration from the 2020 collection “BANG BANG” to give directly to you and your clients. They will show you cuts, colours and styles that can be applied to daily salon life as it returns to normal.

Next week I will be filming new videocasts on a few upcoming product launches. Some of these will be used in KM.TV, for webinars and on our social media channels. I have also decided to look at the KEVIN.MURPHY portfolio and update some videocasts of a few of our most loved products. We will also be filming extra content made up of must-have skills, techniques along with many tips and tricks I have learned from my years on set so you will have lots on content to allow you to stay connected to your salons and clients.

The SESSION.SALON team is also working on a plan for our distributors, sales teams and educators that will elevate the program. We will connect via video conferencing and host Q&A sessions that will be specific to the needs of each group.

You will see a lot more traffic across our channels so be sure to check in with us on social media. Your distributor is your first point of contact for all things education and sales. We will be offering support and attending to distributor requests through our Regional Education Directors teams and will be able to host virtual in-salon trainings upon request during this period.

My team and I are sending you our best wishes during this time.
