On July 6, 2016, Australian designer Bowie Wong showcased his Haute Couture Autumn/ Winter 2016/17 Collection at Hôtel The Peninsula Paris. The inspiration behind Wong’s collection was the moon’s eclipse, which was reflected with dark yet beautiful pieces.
Italian STYLE.MASTER Massimo Morello returned as Bowie Wong’s Hair Director for his fifth consecutive year, supported by some of our top KEVIN.MURPHY Session Stylists from across Europe.
Drawing inspiration from the clouds embracing an eclipsed moon, Massimo and his team aimed to create strong and dark hairstyles with a hint of bewitching mischief.
From this idea came three looks, all of which were created with ANTI.GRAVITY.SPRAY, SESSION.SPRAY, and POWDER.PUFF. The team also incorporated hair pieces to add wispy volume reminiscent of a cloudy midnight sky.
STYLING DIRECTIONS
- To achieve the look below, start by applying ANTI.GRAVITY from roots to ends for volume, shine and longevity.
- Blow the hair dry, then back brush the top and back sections of the hair. Liberally spray the hair with DOO.OVER for added hold and volume.
- Set a ponytail, then place the hair band on the area where the most volume is needed and generously add POWDER.PUFF.
- Leave a little hair free behind the ears to lend the hair more movement as the models walks.
